This Sunday 8th May marks 200 years of Holy Cross Church. The celebration begins with a procession leaving St Clare’s church Graiguecullen at 1.30pm led by Bishop Denis Nulty followed by mass at 3pm. Children can join the parade at the glenside from 2.30pm wearing their killeshin colours.
A family day then takes place in the hall with refreshments, photo slide show, live traditional music and activities for the kids. The children from different classes have been involved in colouring and making models of the church and these will be on display in the hall on the day.
We would love to see the children joining in the celebrations on the day as it promises to be a great occasion for our parish.’
