It was an emotional afternoon as we joined Marion in celebrating her retirement. She began working in Killeshin 17 years ago and brought her considerate, loving nature to our school.
Marion has always been there for the pupils she worked with and all the other children too, showing great empathy and kindness. Friendships with children and their families continued long after they left primary school and we were delighted to welcome two of them back today to celebrate with us.
Over the years she contributed her gifts to the school including knitting, costume making and cookery. Killeshin National School was a better place for having her in it.
Wishing Marion all the best in the future. We hope she enjoys her retirement as much as we have enjoyed working with her.
