Active Home Week

National ‘Active School Week’ takes place every April and is a really enjoyable part of the school year for many children. This year, because of COVID-19, it is not possible for this to go ahead so we are asking parents and students to participate in the ‘Active Home Week‘ challenge instead from the 27th of April to the 3rd of May.

The aim of this initiative is to motivate young people to keep active at home by trying out new activities, taking on challenges and having fun with family members. To complete the challenge children should engage in 4 activities daily, totalling at least 60 minutes. All members of the family are encouraged to take on the challenge together. Click on the following link for more information: https://activeschoolflag.ie/index.php/active-home-week-2020/

On our Facebook page we shall be posting daily challenges for students and their families and encourage everyone to take part. We would love to see photos or drawings of our students getting involved. These can be posted underneath the daily challenge and we can combine them at the end of the week.

Local fitness instructor, Paul Ward who runs Paulies Bootcamp is hosting 2 live bootcamps on Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th of April. To take part go to his Facebook page or click here
