In spite of giving it their very best, our girls team lost out to Holy Family in the Cumann na mBunscol final. They come away with silver medals after a final score of 6-03 to 3-16. Unfortunately it was not to be for our boys team either. In the final of the shield, they faced a tough Killenard team and lost by a couple of points.
A special mention to 6th Class students, Ciara Milton & Mikey Regan who won 'Fair Play Awards' today. They represented our school very well in the final and throughout the tournament. Well done Ciara and Mikey!
Both teams should be commended for their positive attitude, hard work and dedication over the last few months. A big thank you to their trainers, Mrs Byrne, Ms Denieffe, Mr Ball, Mrs Smith, Mr Murphy, Mr Deering and Vera Bolger who gave up their time to support and guide the teams this year. After a two year absence due to Covid, it was brililant to see the boys and girls training hard and playing matches again!
