Special Classes for Children With Autism
Scoil Chomhgháin Naofa was granted two special classes for children with autism in 2025. A modular extension was built to accommodate these additional classes. We have one calming sensory room with soft padding that includes fibre optic lights, a bubble tube etc. We also have a gross motor active room which is covered with soft padding and includes a trampoline and ball pit. The extension also included an additional secure playground area with a soft safe surface padding and playground equipment such as a swing. These classes each have 6 pupils, 1 class teacher and 2 SNA's.
These classrooms are called Seomraí Conairí Uí Choill in honour of our retired principal Mrs Nicola McGuill who oversaw the addition of these classes.
