A massive thank you to Killeshin Community First Responders who volunteered to visit today and yesterday. Our 4th, 5th & 6th Class groups were taught CPR, how to use a defibrillator, the recovery position, dealing with choking and how to call an ambulance. These are hugely important skills we hope they will never have to use! Rather know them and not need them than need them and not know them.
The team of Richard, Gary, June, Eileen and Kelly repeatedly stressed the importance of knowing your Eircode or knowing where to find it quickly. Eircodes help make it faster and easier for the ambulance service to locate an address in an emergency. It is worth taking five minutes tonight to teach your child their Eircode or show them where they can access it. These can be found at the following link and should be noted in every home: https://finder.eircode.ie/#/
Killeshin Community First Responders are an incredible asset to our community and we are so appreciative of them. Thank you to all the families who donated money to support the vital work they do. We raised €175 which Erin and Skye proudly presented them with today.
